We build a bespoke community of great minds and big hearts able to intertwine functional design with conceptual art in uniquely handcrafted products that activate inner beauty and outer belonging.
Our name is a symbol of our current physical location: 16 Dorobanți Street in Bucharest. It is a rendez-vous-location holding together both a rich history and the seeds of tomorrow’s dialogues. It is a present that will write itself in perpetuity and a gift that will keep on giving.
In doing so, we cherry pick international and local outstanding multifunctional designers and bring them in a space where they can grow and develop through the power of a community.
It is a dream built on opportunity and a backstory. Our own. And it stands on a word we hold dear and is the cornerstone of everything we do: togetherness. Design becomes art when we bring our souls into it. Areas become places when we connect them to a common concept.
They are the ones who make a living out of their calling and never stop until they find the outlet for their passion. For interior designers and product designers, we are it. An irreplicable pattern of sharp ideas, honored gifts and great talents knitted into the DORO-16 community. Our main focus in on local talent, but we also scout international great minds and skilled hands. We put together a scene for the designers harder to find outside of their studios and whose creations you can easily interact with through all your senses.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, just as much as art is art, regardless of how you look at it. We are in awe whenever we lay eyes on what our designers craft.
The most heavy-used room in the house is the kitchen. We eat, network, have our friends gathered, cook and, most likely, eat our blue-evenings icecreams there. It's the heart of our home, so we need it pampered and very much cared for.
We complete ourselves through what we wear when we allow to be extensions of our personalities. Perfectly crafted, uniquely customed for each of us.
Life is in the breath. In the evolution. In the everyday change. In the intersections between day and night. We need not be the only living creatures in our homes. We need company. Company that breathes along with us.
